Hyderabad, Jan. 20 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday questioned senior BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao for over seven hours in connection with the phone tapping case.
Harish Rao appeared before the SIT at the Jubilee Hills police station at 11 am, following a notice issued to him on Saturday evening. The interrogation continued until 6.30 pm, officials said.
Sources said lawyers were not permitted inside during the questioning, triggering protests by BRS leaders and workers who raised slogans against the police, leading to a tense situation at the venue.
