Bengaluru, Dec. 18 -- The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has unveiled ambitious plans to significantly expand the National Pension System (NPS) while channeling savings into long-term nation-building projects in line with India's 2047 development vision.
Addressing media on Thursday, PFRDA Chairperson S Raman said, "NPS is the primary mode of savings for subscribers, and this capital will remain with them for decades. With recent reforms, especially opening the system to the private sector, we are targeting around 25 crore new subscribers over the next four to five years.
