Chennai, Dec. 24 -- Floral tributes were paid to social reformer and rationalist lederPeriyar E V Ramasamy, popularly called as Periyar, on his 52nd death anniversary today.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin, a staunch follower of Periyar'sprinciples, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Ministers andsenior party leader paid tributes at the memorial of Periyar at Periyar Thidal in the city.
Dravidar Kazhagam President and Leaders of various parties, including TVK Founderand actor-politician Vijay also paid floral tributes to a portrait of Periyar to mark theoccasion.
