New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Rolling out the World largest Covid-19 vaccination drive on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India's COVID-19 vaccination campaign is based on very humane principles and the people who need it the most will get the vaccine first.

Noting that this type of large-scale vaccination drive that has never happened in history he said that three crore people will be getting shots of vaccination in its first phase.

"He informed that in the second phase, 30 crore people will be vaccinated. There are only three countries in the world with a population over 300 million - India, China and America", he said while launching the drive via video conference.
