Srinagar, April 25 -- Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday said that people want him for development in Jammu and Kashmir instead of being in Parliament.

Addressing a road show in Dooru in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, Azad said "my people want me to focus on Jammu and Kashmir", adding "my candidates will raise public issues in Parliament the way I did".

The DPAP Chairman questioned the silence of MPs from regional parties in parliament, particularly during the abrogation of Article 370.
