Patna, Oct. 3 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today launched a scathing attack on the Opposition, declaring that the people of Bihar are seeking good governance and development rather than a return to "jungle raj."During his maiden visit to Patna after being appointed as co-incharge for the Bihar Assembly elections, Maurya told UNI here that the time for dynastic politics has come to an end. "The people of Bihar know the dangers of misrule and want progress, empowerment of women, welfare of the poor, and a bright future for the youth," he added.
Maurya said the upcoming Bihar polls have drawn national attention because of the state's political importance.
