Patna, July 1 -- Expressing satisfaction over Bihar cabinet's approval for two landmark schemes - Mukhyamantri Kalakar Pension Yojana (artists pension scheme) and Mukhyamantri Guru-Shishya Parampara Yojana (teacher-disciple scheme), state's Art, Culture, and Youth Affairs Minister Motilal Prasad said these were historical steps of the state government.

Prasad told media here today that under the Artist Pension Scheme, traditional, classical, visual, and performing artists living in rural and urban areas would receive a monthly pension of Rs 3,000.
