Peerumedu MLA Vazhur Soman passes away after cardiac arrest
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 21 -- Peerumedu MLA and CPI leader Vazhur Soman passed away following a cardiac arrest here today.
Soman collapsed while addressing the Revenue Assembly at the Institute of Land and Disaster Management. Though he was administered first aid and rushed to a private hospital in Sastamangalam, doctors declared him brought dead.
He was 72. Soman is survived by his wife, Bindu Soman, and two sons, Sobin and Sobith. Born on September 14, 1952, in Vazhur, Kottayam, Soman began his political career with the All India Students' Federation (AISF).
