Imphal, Jan. 2 -- : Malem Thongam, a resident of Maibakhul Mayai Leikai, Imphal East, and a social activist who conducted a "Cycling for Manipur Peace" expedition has urged Manipur Police to register an FIR against those who threatened him during the recent New Delhi to Imphal peace cycle rally.
The 27-year-old peace activist started cycling from New Delhi on October 2, 2025 to strife-torn Manipur a distance of about 2,300 km to spread the message of peace, communal harmony, and the restoration of normalcy in the state. He said in a statement to police that his "mission was peaceful and non-political".
