Srinagar, Feb. 7 -- The People's Democratic Party (PDP) held a high-level meeting at its party headquarters in Srinagar on Friday during which focus was put on the "rising civilian killings and arbitrary arrests" made in the name of security in Jammu and Kashmir.

Party President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti chaired the meeting.

A spokesman of the PDP said the meeting focused on addressing key organizational and political issues, as well as the challenges faced by the people, particularly the rising civilian killings and arbitrary arrests made in the name of security.

During the meeting, it was decided to launch a membership drive, which will begin at the PDP office in Jammu on February 13 of this month. ...
