Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today criticised the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference government for restricting the upcoming Assembly session to just five working days, calling it a deliberate attempt to evade accountability.

In a post on social media platform X, the PDP said the Omar Abdullah-led government came to power promising to give voice to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, making the decision to keep the session "intentionally short" an irony.

The party alleged that by keeping the session intentionally short, the government has ensured that no debate takes place, allowing it to walk away without being held accountable on the floor of the House, especially as it completes one year in office.
