Hyderabad, Dec. 25 -- Acting on the instructions of the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, the city police on Thursday invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against rowdy sheeter Mohammed Trabez, also known as Tabbu, in view of his continued involvement in serious criminal activities.
The 29-year-old, a resident of Aman Nagar B, Talabkatta, Bhavaninagar, and proprietor of Tabrez Travels, was earlier registered as a rowdy sheeter at Rein Bazar Police Station and is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Jail.
Police said he was involved in a murder case registered at Rein Bazar Police Station, an attempt to murder case at Domalguda Police Station, and a bodily offence case at Adibatla Police Station.
