Gorakhpur, Feb. 25 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday highlighted the significance of Maha Shivratri as a sacred occasion dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and directed the officials to prioritise safety, convenience and cleanliness during the holy festival.
Chairing a meeting with officials at the Gorakhnath Temple on the eve of Maha Shivratri, the CM said that visitors should feel secure and face no difficulties at temples, with strict measures in place to maintain cleanliness in and around all Shiva temples.
He said a massive number of devotees gather at Shiva temples across villages and cities, making it imperative to ensure their safety, comfort and seamless experience while respecting their faith.
