Indore, March 21 -- As the political circumstances vis-a-vis Indore parliamentary constituency witness a sea change owing to outgoing Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan deciding not to contest for a seat that she has adorned for eight consecutive terms as Bharatiya Janata Party Member, Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari - who represents this district's Rau - averred on Thursday that he is prepared to contest as the Congress' Indore candidate if the party so desires.

"I am the only person from my family who can try his poll fortune," he told the press here while scotching speculation that his spouse Renuka may be the Congress' Indore nominee.
