Patna, Jan. 8 -- The Patna Civil Court complex was evacuated on Thursday following an e-mail threat warning of explosions involving three RDX-based improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the court campus.
Acting swiftly, the registrar of civil courts, Patna, issued an urgent order directing all lawyers to immediately vacate the premises. He also requested the secretary of the District Bar Association to inform all its members and ensure a complete evacuation of the civil court campus.
The registrar said the threatening email was received earlier in the morning. The sender, identifying himself as Arun Kumar and claiming to be a member of the LTTE, warned that three RDX IEDs would be detonated in the Patna Civil Court premises on January 8....
