Pankaj Jain, Jan. 29 -- Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma on Thursday initiated disciplinary action against officials of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) following surprise inspections in Rajendra Nagar, Kanhaiya Nagar and Ashok Nagar zones.
The Zonal Revenue Officers (ZROs) of all three areas, along with the Assistant Sub Officer (ASO) of Kanhaiya Nagar, were suspended after several public complaints pointed to administrative irregularities, delays in grievance redressal and lapses in supervision.
Residents from the affected localities had raised concerns over poor service delivery and slow response to complaints, prompting the Minister to personally review field operations and office functioning.
