Bengaluru, Dec. 24 -- : Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president DK Shivakumar on Wednesday sought to downplay speculation over positions and power, asserting that being a party worker is the only permanent role he values in his political life.
Speaking to reporters at Karnataka Bhavan here, Shivakumar said posts and designations are temporary, but commitment to the Congress party remains lifelong. "I love being a party worker more than holding any position. That is a permanent position for me. Since 1980, I have been a party worker and I will continue to be one in the future," he said.
