Kolkata, May 14 -- The safe return of BSF constable Purnam Kumar Shaw, who had been detained by Pak Rangers after reportedly crossing into their territory by mistake on April 23, has prompted huge relief and gratitude.
Purnam was released by the neighbouring country on Wednesday at 10.30 am.
BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi shortly after Shaw's release.
"A heartfelt thank you to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for once again proving that under your strong and decisive leadership, no Indian is ever left behind," Majumdar wrote on his X handle minutes after the development.
