Aizawl, Nov. 7 -- The month-long high-profile campaign for the Dampa Assembly bye-election in Mizoram drew to a close on Friday evening as political parties made their final pitch to voters ahead of the silent period that begins Saturday. The polling is scheduled for November 11.

Throughout the day, major political parties organised public rallies across the constituency in a last-ditch effort to sway the electorate with promises of development, peace, and progress.
