Kolkata, Sept. 26 -- Former State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, who has been in prison since 2022 over the multi-crore school recruitment scam, was granted conditional bail today in the final pending case against him, but will have to stay behind bars for another few days.

Justice Shubhra Ghosh of the Calcutta High Court approved his bail plea today, which had been reserved after the hearing concluded on September 15.

Despite securing bail in all cases filed by both the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Chatterjee will not be released immediately.
