Mumbai, Feb. 1 -- With Sunetra Pawar assuming the responsibility of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, following the tragic accidental demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, in this backdrop, senior leaders of the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) are strongly advocating that Parth Pawar be elected to the Rajya Sabha from the seat vacated by Sunetra Pawar.
Accordingly, Parth Pawar is expected to be sent to the Rajya Sabha, according to senior party sources.
