Buenos Aires, June 27 -- Argentina international midfielder Leandro Paredes is set to leave Roma to rejoin boyhood team Boca Juniors, according to widespread media reports.
Paredes is tied to the Italian club until next June but a clause in his contract allows him to leave for 3.5 million U.S. dollars, reports said, adding that he had an in-principle agreement with Boca.
The 30 year-old is expected to sign a contract that runs until December 2028.
The World Cup winner made 28 appearances for Boca before earning a move to Roma in 2014.
His career has also included spells at Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, among other clubs.
