Bengaluru, Oct. 19 -- Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara today clarified that the recent suspension of a government officer for allegedly attending an RSS event was in line with service rules that prohibit officials from participating in programs of certain organisations while in service.
Reacting to reports about the officer's suspension, Dr Parameshwara said that government servants, in their official capacity, are not permitted to take part in such organisations. "That is why the action has been taken," he told reporters here.
