Bhubaneswar, Feb. 23 -- After Bhubaneswar, Paradip is set to emerge as a premier sports hub in Odisha, Industries and Skill Development Minister Sampad Chandra Swain announced on Monday.
Swain stated that the process to develop Paradip into a major sports center has already begun, reflecting the state government's ongoing commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure and nurturing talent from the grassroots.
The Department of Sports and Youth Services has given in-principle approval for the construction of a multi-purpose indoor stadium with spectator galleries and a 25-meter swimming pool at Udayabat under Kujang block.
At least five acres of encroachment-free government land will be identified and allocated for the project.
