Panna (MP), Nov. 20 -- Tourists are encountering difficulties at the Panna Tiger Reserve with the guides on strike for the third successive day. A situation of rules being flouted is being created as tourists' vehicles are entering the core zone without guides.
There is an impact on security and protocol as well. The guides say that the chief reason for their agitation is a November 13 order suddenly issued by the Area Manager.
The order announces the hiring of fresh guides for the core gate Mandla and the Jhinna gate buffer. The guides complain that the order was issued without any prior intimation or holding any discussions with them.
