Panna (MP), Nov. 14 -- The Geographical Indication tag has been granted to diamonds that emerge from this district which is famous in the world over for its diamond mines. With the tag, diamond prices and their importance will increase further.
"The value of the gems will spurt at the international level. Cooperation by the district administration, the Mining Department and the state dispensation plus Padma Shri Rajni Kant's efforts and the Lucknow-based Human Welfare Society's GI technical assistance resulted in the tag," Diamond Officer Ravi Patel told UNI on Friday.
