Hazaribagh, Sept. 23 -- A portion of the Singhrawan flyover on NH-19 subsided, triggering panic in the area and raising serious questions over the quality of its construction.
The flyover was built by Kaushal Engineering Company, but the incident, even before it came into full use, has cast doubts on the durability and safety of the structure.
According to local villagers, cracks had started appearing on the flyover after heavy rains. Complaints were lodged with the department and the contractor, but no corrective actionwas taken.
