Dubai, Sept. 28 -- India allrounder Hardik Pandya will miss today's Asia Cup 2025 finals due to a niggle, skipper Suryakumar Yadav confirmed after winning the toss. India has opted to bowl first in the encounter.

Speaking at the toss, Suryakumar highlighted the quality of the pitch and the preparation of the groundsmen. "The wicket looks good and tends to get even better under lights. The groundsmen have done a terrific job with the wickets here," he said. He added that while the team has often batted well when setting a target, the preference today is to chase.
