Shimla, Dec. 23 -- A review meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anupam.
The ongoing works under seven divisions were reviewed. There are 264 schemes in the district, of which 203 have been physically completed and 114 of these have been financially completed, while work is underway on 61 schemes.
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that all the panchayats in the district have been provided with water testing kits by the Jal Shakti Department.
However, the panchayats are not yet using these kits. All panchayats have been instructed to inspect the quality of drinking water using these kits. They should also inspect traditional drinking water sources.
