Bilaspur, Oct. 15 -- To strengthen disaster preparedness and response at the grassroots level, the Bilaspur District Administration organised a programme at Savings Bhawan on International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.

Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Rahul Kumar distributed emergency relief kits to four gram panchayats as part of the district's ongoing efforts to build capacity and community resilience.

The relief kits were handed over to gram panchayats of Tali, Barthin, Patta, and Charol.

These panchayats were identified by the block development officers as disaster-prone and vulnerable to heavy rains, landslides, and other natural calamities.
