Palamu, July 14 -- The recruitment process for fourth-grade posts in Palamu district will now be conducted through a written examination.

This decision follows a directive from the Supreme Court, which had earlier cancelled the previous recruitment process and instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Palamu to re-advertise the vacancies and complete the process within six months.

As per the revised advertisement issued by the district administration, recruitment was initially to be based on matriculation marks. However, candidates had been demanding selection through a written test instead of merit based solely on academic scores.
