Dharamshala, July 3 -- Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla commended Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur, for its remarkable strides in education, research, and agricultural extension.
Presiding over the 26th Senate meeting, he lauded the university's 13th rank in the national IRAF and its contributions like developing 182 new crop varieties and promoting drone-based smart farming.
The Governor emphasized focusing on increasing farmers' income through innovations like e-NAM, digital farming, and post-harvest processing. He praised the university's role in startup incubation and implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.
