Palakkad, Oct. 14 -- The Palakkad Additional District Sessions Court (IV) today found Chenthamarakshan, alias Chenthamara, guilty in the 2019 murder of Sajitha of Pothundi.
Judge Kennath George found Chenthamarakshan (58), a resident of Pothundi near Nenmara, guilty under various sections including murder, destruction of evidence, and criminal trespass. The court stated that the charges were proven beyond reasonable doubt by the prosecution. The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on October 16.
Chenthamara, who was brought from Viyyur Central Jail under tight security, is also an accused in a twin murder case reported earlier this year. He was previously lodged in Viyyur in connection with that case.
