Itanagar, Jan. 15 -- In a major development, an accused in a double murder case reported from Passa Camp in Arunachal Pradesh's Pakke Kessang district, has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sessions Court, Seppa Division, East Kameng district.
According to Pakke Kessang district Superintendent of Police (SP) Tasi Darang, the incident occurred on December 4, 2024, when an FIR was lodged stating that one Vijay Bumich, a resident of Harmuti under Laluk police station in Assam, allegedly assaulted three persons with a sharp weapon at a residence in Passa Camp. As a result of the attack, two persons died on the spot while another sustained grievous injuries.
