Srinagar, May 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that it was Pakistan that reached out to India for a ceasefire after a strong Indian military response between May 8 and 10.
Addressing Army personnel after visiting the Tangdhar sector in Kupwara district to assess the damage caused by Pakistani shelling, Sinha praised the Indian Army for its bravery and effectiveness in preventing casualties during the recent hostilities. He said due to the Army's valour, no deaths were reported, and only three persons sustained minor injuries.
