Islamabad, Dec. 16 -- Accusing the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf of carrying out social media campaigns for influencing public opinion, Pakistan State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhary, claimed on Tuesday that authorities in Islamabad had uncovered extensive evidence of a large-scale paid online campaign by the opposition party, which was being coordinated via a whole network of fake accounts, largely being operated from abroad.

He added, that the government had recently briefed foreign media outlets on the methods employed by terrorist and other organised networks for exploiting social platforms in Pakistan.
