Lahore, Dec. 3 -- Amid rising speculation in Pakistan over the delayed notification for the newly-created controversial military post of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), the country's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stressed that no constitutional procedure can be expedited instantly on the whims of public debate or online rumours.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Naqvi said the creation of an entirely new constitutional office required "multiple procedural steps." Dismissing all social-media claims of there being a political deadlock over the new post, he remarked "Those spreading rumours can continue doing so, but official processes do not move at the press of a button," reports The News International.
