Washington/Tehran, April 13 -- After the failure of high-stakes Islamabad talks to resolve differences between Iran and the US, the mediators from Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey are pressing ahead with backchannel diplomacy, working to narrow the remaining gaps between Washington and Tehran before the ceasefire deadline of April 21 ends, said a US official.
Officials on both sides have said that the talks are far from over. "We are not in a complete deadlock. The door is not closed yet. Both sides are bargaining. It's a bazaar," Axios reported.
