Islamabad, Oct. 25 -- Pakistan Foreign Ministry said on Friday that the second round of ceasefire talks between Islamabad and the Afghan Taliban will take place in Istanbul, Turkiye, today; its primary aim reportedly aimed at completely halting all terrorist attacks from the Afghan soil.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi told reporters in Islamabad that the Istanbul dialogue seeks to establish a "tangible and verifiable monitoring mechanism" to curb cross-border militancy, and expressed optimism over the upcoming talks.
