Islamabad, Sept. 20 -- Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said the defence agreement inked with Saudi Arabia can open the doors for other regional countries to benefit from the pact.

Speaking to Arab media, Asif emphasised that the agreement with KSA could potentially extend to other Gulf nations. He suggested that other Arab countries could join the defence agreement, adding that "the doors are not closed".

He also said that the defence agreement, inked on September 17, is transparent, and contains no hidden clauses, reflecting "mutual trust and shared security interests," reports Saama TV.
