Islamabad/Washington, Jan. 15 -- Pakistan on Thursday said that it is in contact with US authorities, after Washington decided to suspend immigrant visa processing applications from 75 countries, one of which includes Pakistan, and expressed hope that routine procedures will resume soon.
US State Department had on Wednesday decided to suspend visa processing applications from countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Rwanda, Russia, Iran, South Sudan, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, North Macedonia, Thailand, among others, in order to reduce immigration from those nations whose applicants were increasingly dependent on state benefits....
