Islamabad, Nov. 27 -- Pakistan's Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah said that conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund have greatly restricted Islamabad's ability to deliver relief to citizens.
The global money lender, noted to essentially be the director of Pakistan's economic policies until it repays its outstanding dues and restructures its financial sector to its satisfaction, has forbidden the government to provide public subsidised goods, and implementing any kind of price control - especially on special energy products like petrol or electricity - greatly bloating its inflation, and exacerbating tensions within both the public and the administration.
