Islamabad/Dhaka, April 25 -- Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar's visit to Bangladesh has been postponed in light of the Pakistan-backed terror attack in Pahalgam, which has led to rising tensions with India.
"Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan is unable to undertake the visit to Bangladesh on 27-28 April 2025," said Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement announcing the postponement of Dar's visit to Dhaka which would have been the first such by a Pakistani Foreign Minister since 2012.
