Islamabad/Washington, Aug. 13 -- Pakistan and the United States have reaffirmed their resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms, following bilateral talks on counter-terrorism cooperation.

According to a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, both countries underscored the need for an effective strategy to counter threats posed by groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), ISIS-Khorasan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Samaa news reported.

The United States acknowledged Pakistan's efforts and achievements in containing terrorist elements and extended condolences over the loss of lives in recent attacks, including the Jaffar Express bombing and the Khuzdar school bus explosion.
