Sangli, Feb. 18 -- A pair of bullocks, owned by Amit Sheth and Sumit Sheth from Harfale and Wai, won 'Jayant Kesari' bullock-cart competition organised by Kasegaon gram panchayat member and industrialist Atul Lahigade at Kasegaon in Walva tehsil of the district on occasion of birthday of former minister and NCP (Sharad Pawar) state president Jayant Patil on Sunday.
Nearly 200 bullock-carts from across Maharashtra participated in competition.
The winners Sheth brothers got a 1-BHK flat worth Rs 21 lakh.
The bullocks of Amol Watgaonkar and Kiran Raut from Badlapur were the first runners-up who bagged cash prize of Rs 6,06,225, while the bullocks of Sandeep Modak and Ajay Patil from Daranga were second runners-up who got cash prize of Rs 3,...
