Chennai, Nov. 23 -- In a tragic incident, three people died of electrocutionafter an overhed live wire got snapped after a Tamarind tree got uprooted andfell on it due to heavy rains in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu this evening.
Reports received here said two women were among those died in the tragedywhich took place at Sathamangalam village near Chidmabaram in Cuddaloredistrict, which had been receiving heavy rains.
The three deceased were taking shelter, when the roadside tamarind tree gotuprooted and fell on the overhead live wire, which was passing close to it.
The wire got snapped in the impact and fell on the trio who were taking shelter.
All the three suffered severe shock and died on the spot.
