Puri, Feb. 3 -- The administration has deployed 33 platoons of personnel to manage the famous Magha Saptami Mela, scheduled for February 4, at the holy waters of Chandrabhaga.

The holy pond has been cleansed and barricaded. The administration anticipates a footfall of over five lakh devotees at Chandrabhaga for the ritualistic holy dip.

After the deities take their ceremonial bath, devotees will be allowed to perform the holy dip.

The police have issued an advisory for devotees arriving in vehicles. Vehicles coming from the Nimapara route will be parked at the Konark helipad area, while those traveling from Puri will park near the Ramchandi police station.
