Stockholm, May 8 -- More than ten soldiers have been injured during a parachuting exercise in a NATO drill in Sweden, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has reported.

The report said 11 soldiers were injured on Tuesday while parachuting during the bloc's Swift Response drill in the city of Skillingaryd in the province of Smaland in southern Sweden.

US, Hungarian, and Italian soldiers are among those injured, the newspaper reported, adding that they suffered bone fractures and bruises but had no life-threatening injuries.

Nine of them were airlifted by a helicopter, and two of them were taken to a hospital, the report said.
