Kabul/Islamabad, June 26 -- Pakistan has released 769 Afghan nationals from detention over the past week, handing them over to Afghan authorities at two key border crossings, Afghanistan's Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation announced on Thursday, reports Khama News.
The released individuals - including women and children - were repatriated via the Torkham crossing in eastern Nangarhar province and the Spin Boldak crossing in southern Kandahar. According to Afghan officials, the returnees received initial assistance at the border before being transported to their home provinces.
