Moscow, Aug. 22 -- Russian Railways said Thursday that over 70 long-distance trains were running behind schedule after a drone crash disrupted power lines in the Voronezh region.
"Due to a drone crash that disrupted the operation of overhead lines on the Rossosh-Sokhranovka section in the Voronezh region overnight, 71 long-distance trains are currently delayed," Russian Railways stated.
It added that some trains were facing delays of up to 5.5 hours, while repair crews were working to restore service and minimize passenger disruptions.
Earlier reports said that train services were suspended in the region after debris from downed Ukrainian drones damaged railway infrastructure.
